Press Release June 2004
THE BOWEN TECHNIQUE - CHILDREN'S CLINIC
A new clinic has opened at the Hyndman Centre, Bury St Edmunds.
Every Saturday 10am - 12pm (appointments only)
The Bowen Technique is a gentle, soothing, non-invasive holistic
therapy which may be performed through light clothing.
Fully qualified practitioners
use a specific set of gentle and relaxing muscle manipulation on precise points of the
body which trigger impulses in the brain to stimulate healing, release blocked energy
and improve blood flow and lymphatic drainage. The technique can help all ages and a
range of problems including frozen shoulder, back, knee problems and stress.
This clinic is specifically for children addressing a wide range of problems including
asthma, bed-wetting, autism, cerebral palsy, ADHD/ADD, babies with colic, learning and
physical disabilities etc.
The clinic was founded by Anita Costello and Tor Amos, and they will be joined by
Chloë Aldam, Margaret Brooker, Janet Evans, Penny Jenner and
Juliette Livermore.
All therapists will be working voluntarily and no charges will be made,
but any donations received will initially go towards costs and equipment and
thereafter the proceeds will be donated to childrens charities.
By appointment only and for more information call 01638 560475 / 07855 760534.
